The user shouldn't be forced to visit the Prefs dlog every time they want to do something different. In many cases, I want to build everything even if the first file generates an error, because the build is going to take 10 minutes and I went outside to take a break. Those 10 minutes shouldn't be wasted NOT building all the files that can build just because the first one failed.

It would compile the source file you're editing. It would be stupid to run the Compile command on a header.
