OT: MBP Support for Core i5/i7 rdrand instruction?

Hi All,

I'm having problems with OpenSSL and its ENGINE_rdrand. ENGINE_rdrand
handles the hardware interface for the CPU's random number generator.
and http://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/performance-impact-of-intel-secure-key-on-openssl).

How can I tell if my MacBook Pro supports the Intel's rdrand
instruction? MacBookPro8,2, and has a quad core i7. Though it was
purchased from Apple over the summer of 2012, its a Late 2011.

Sorry about the question. Its nearly impossible to map Intel marketing
literature onto Apple marketing literature and get a useful result.
And the BSD stuff I'm finding does not apply to Apple (for example,
examining dmesg.boot).

Jeff
