A clean build doesn’t nuke the shared precompiled headers. (There’s no UI for that, I think. It’s one of those things that “shouldn’t” ever be necessary, until it is.)
It used to have one in Xcode 3 (Xcode menu > Empty Caches…) but I can't find it in Xcode 4 anymore.
