Yes, have a folder in the project folder somewhere that holds the log files. Would save me a lot of time!

How do you redirect it? Just define your own Macro?

I've not perfected how to counteract the annoying UI reconfigurations, I've got a few Command Keys I've setup to take me to different modes. I think the whole reason XCode 4+ is so hard to use and to use to is because what they have essentially done is to take 5 or 6 development workflows and munge them all into one horrid Window (with total disregard to anyone that might have multiple monitors I might add!!).This one thing makes it very difficult to use. It's not like we didn't have this functionality in XCode 3, so why remove it from 4+
All in all I say that XCode 4 is one of the most stressful IDEs I have ever used and it looks like 5 will be the same or worse.
