Xcode 5 problem with iPad launch images?

Am I the only one having problems with setting iPad launch images for an iOS 7 project? I got the iPhone launch images fine but for some reason, whenever I set the non-retina portrait launch image, Xcode will then report that no image with the correct dimensions was found for the retina version. If I choose an image with the right dimensions for the retina version, then Xcode complains about the just set non-retina portrait launch image. For landscape, it’s even worst, it constantly reports that no images have been set. I deleted the entire array of iPad launch images from the project’s plist file but the problem persists.
Anybody else?
