Thanks to Dave, who reminded me about the "Use For Development" button in the Organizer, I was able to resolve the problem. I had forgotten about that button. It's something you do once, then never think about it again. I first went to Developer/Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles, selected "Devices" and, to be on the safe side, deleted my restored iPhone 5. I then added it again. Finally, I went to the Organizer in Xcode, and under Devices, found my restored iPhone 5 and selected "Use For Development." PROBLEM RESOLVED!
Thanks Dave.

> Because of Apple's free iPhone 5 battery replacement program I was instructed to "Erase All Content and Settings" prior to having a new battery installed. After returning home I restored the iPhone 5 from my iMac - I had backed up just 2 hours prior. Everything seemed fine until I tried to provision the iPhone with an app I'm developing. Xcode 5.1.1 does not recognize my iPhone5 when I plug it in. I have no problem provisioning my iPhone 4 or my iPad, so the problem is only related to the newly restored iPhone 5. Here's the message I get: "Xcode cannot run using the selected device. No provisioned iOS devices are available with a compatible iOS version. Connect an iOS device with a recent enough version of iOS to run your application or choose an iOS simulator as the destination." Any suggestions would be appreciated.
> Thank you.
