How to Update Swift Books

The Swift books were updated on 5. Aug. 2014.

I opened the Book-Store on iPhone, looked for "Swift" and it had a button "Update". Worked fine.

I opened the Book-Store on iPad, looked for "Swift" (no "Update" button here) and clicked "Buy". A panel came up: "You already have this book. Click OK if you want to download it again". Clicked Ok and all was fine.

I opened the Book-Store on Mac, looked for "Swift" and it had a button "Read", which was not very useful (just opened the old version).
So I deleted the book. Now there is a "Download" button, but clicking it produces: "An unknown error has occurred. Cancel, Retry".
"Retry" just produces the same message over and over again.
(I had the same problem some time ago).

So: what is the correct procedure to get an updated Swift book on Mac?

Gerriet.
