Thanks for the info on where to look sent by several persons. With your help I was able to find the right place but unable to download Xcode 6 beta because I'm a Mac developer, not an iOS developer, and it appears that Apple hasn't made Xcode 6 beta available to us yet. This is in spite of Apple saying the following on the download page for Xcode under the heading Xcode 6 beta: "Sign in with the Apple ID associated with your membership in the iOS Developer Program or Mac Developer program to download and install the latest pre-release version of Xcode" [emphasis added].
I sure hope this is just an oversight that gets fixed!
