Just go into your app's general settings in Xcode. There is a section where you can pick the storyboard used for the iPhone and for the iPad. Just select the iPhone storyboard file as the one used for the iPad.
If you don't see an option to select a storyboard for the iPad, then you need to change a setting so that your app runs for both the iPhone and the iPad.
