Documentation window nonfunctional when no internet available

I have Xcode 5.1 running on a 10.8.5 MacBook. When I'm somewhere the internet isn't available, the documentation window in Xcode doesn't bring up anything. It shows a few search results on the right side, but the links aren't active (they don't do anything when clicked on). When I'm connected to the internet via wifi, it works properly (plus I get a lot more search results).

Does this mean I don't have local copies of the documentation? How do I go about downloading it? Doesn't Xcode do this automatically, on demand?
-Carl
