emlog.pl feeds events to emond.  emond monitors your firewall logs to inform
you of interesting activity.   It runs (or ran, don't know the current status)
when the adaptive firewall was enabled.  I suspect those seeing the message
have the adaptive firewall turned on.  Or did at one point.

The programs are mentioned in the man pages: emond(8) and emlog(8)
