In an Xcode 6.0.1 project, I have set the Initial Position of some windows to "Auto", which means I selected the popup menu entries "Center Horizontally" and "Center Vertically" in the Size inspector.
Now Xcode warns me: "The initial position of this window is outside of this machine's screen", pointing me to the relevant Window object in my MainMenu.xib. My screen is of a 2560x1600 iMac 27". But I believe that this isn't relevant for the issue, is it?
How can I solve this warning? I haven't found any Google entry for this yet.
I have a vague recollection of something similar, very vague, so maybe not accurate. But, deselect the auto options, move the window near the upper-left corner so it will fit on most any screen, re-select the auto options. I think...
You made my day. It was as silly as that. Maybe this was even caused
because I used the Quartz Debug.app with a simulated Retina display on
my 27" iMac.
Thank you anyway. :-)
