Very similar. I originally split my drive in 2 and Yosemite'd 1/2 and restored my stuff there and the Yosemite was just a few gigs larger. I eventually went all Yosemite (which was surprisingly hard).
Note that I do have 5gb x 2 extra Xcodes on the partition at the moment because I need Xcode 5 and I keep a couple of betas around so I can pick the one which has less bugs for the work I'm trying to do. Beta 7 is pretty good thus far so I can clean up soon and I'm assuming we see beta 8 in a few days time which hopefully will be near release quality.
