Just searched on the error message and it appears to be a widespread and intermittant problem.
All of our team, all over the planet, have this error when validating or submitting to the app store. The admins, the agent, i doesn't matter.
My guess is that it's an incorrect error in Xcode, but this error doesn't happen at all on our Xcode build server if it's doing the same build validation process. That server is using my dev ID.
OK. WTH?
I just created a new app archive, went through the validation process and now validation works. Nothing changed. Why? I have no idea.
I just went back to the previous archive, and went through the validation process again and it failed with the same error:
"iTunes Store operation failed."
You are not authorized to use this service."
This is CLEARLY the wrong error message. It's worse than simply "wrong", it's misleading.
Creating a new archive fixed it, and we can upload our app to the app store, but we have no idea why.
Now back to other pending deliverables. Hope this helps others.
