launch file required for iPhone 6,6+ ?

Hi all,

The "iOS Human Interface Guidelines:Launch Images” page in the documentation seems to contradict itself.

Early on the page it says "IMPORTANT

You use a launch XIB or storyboard file to indicate that your app runs on iPhone 6 Plus or iPhone 6.”

Later it says:

"Although it’s best to use a launch file for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, you can instead supply static launch images if necessary.”

Which is it? The asset catalog has placeholders for launch images, but the above statement seems to me to say you must create a launch file.

Thanks for any advice from someone who has recently had an update to their app approved.

Don
