Yeah, did that just start happening? I don’t remember it in the 7.0 betas, but I’m seeing it now in the 7.1 beta.
Is there ANY WAY to turn this insipid behaviour off?
In this case I’ll wager it’s a bug, since even I (who generally like UI animations) agree with you that it’s useless. I’m guessing that maybe they create the table row at a small size and then increase its height (to fit the text) immediately afterwards, and that triggers an animation to grow the cell. Whereas they should be creating the row at the proper height initially.
This doesn't help the user in the least bit. How can we turn this off?
