There’s almost no documentation about any of this, AFAIK. There’s a vast empty area between the superficial “click this button in this window” Xcode docs and the actual build-system man pages. This is crying out for a big fat book, like “Xcode: The Missing Manual”, but I’ve never seen a book like that either.

What would frustrate any writer on the subject of Xcode is that it changes so completely with each release that a book would be obsolete in no time. This doesn’t make such a book any less necessary however.
