I have taken over maintenance of a Mac app dating back to the PPC days. Even
though it now only targets Intel architectures, a lot of the configuration of
the project dates back to the old days. Specifically, this project builds
various components into subdirectories in the project's source tree.
I cannot see any way in Xcode (I'm still on 7.2.1) to configure legacy vs
unique build locations *on a per-project basis*. Is there a way to do this,
short of constructing an entirely new project? I have set the build locations
in the "Build Settings" pane back to the "OS X Default" where they were
different, but this only seems to affect the relative build location. I also
can't see anything obvious peeking in the project.pbxproj file.
