Xcode - flying cursor syndrome ...

  • Subject: Xcode - flying cursor syndrome ...

I came close to throwing my laptop through the window today.
As I stop typing in the editor, the cursor moves to a line other than the one I’m currently on, and when I start typing again ( on the wrong line ) I’m busy producing complete nonsense !

I presume that moving the cursor out of the way when you stop typing was meant to be helpful.
Sometimes, on resuming typing, the cursor goes back to the right spot before text insertion happens.
But frequently it doesn’t.

Is there any way to switch this feature off ?

Or is just my copy of Xcode ( 8.2.1 ) that’s a problem ?

Sanity is at stake here. Any help gratefully received !

Peter
