Now that we've been free to discuss Panther and Xcode for a little

I've posted links to these on several occasions:

that is, none of the Cocoa Sample Code has been revisited to apply
this new technique.
This turns out not to be the case. See below.
Is this perhaps a technology that is developing and is really for
future use?
If it's useful for you now, use it. If it isn't, don't use it. I
think it's reasonable, however, to expect that this technology will
continue to be developed...
I realize that creating apps that require Panther or later may be a
little too leading edge for those who are trying to sell their wares.
For someone who may be a rung or two above the newbie, yet nowhere
near the high aether of the Cocoa-NeXTStep gods, should we stick to
the old-fashioned, time-tested, thoroughly-documented "glue" code (pun
happened accidentally) of hand-crafted controller objects?
See comment above.

Subject: New Sample
For those of you who are interested in Controller layer samples, we've
just added a new DTS sample project at
http://developer.apple.com/samplecode/Sample_Code/Graphics_2D/
RGB_ValueTransformers.htm
This is a re-implementation of the "RGB Image" sample, using value
transformers to perform the color separation operations.
