I have promised someone to file a detailed and lengthy enhancement request regarding bindings, which I *will* get to (eventually), but I don't feel this can be said enough.

The current implementation of bindings has a shortcoming that is common to Apple (and previously NeXT) dev solutions. It makes the hard things easy while making the easy things hard.

I used EOF (with it's own binding implementation) from Alpha until Obj-C was dropped. However this summer when I first tried to use the new bindings API I had a hard time. I eventually got it working, but it took a great deal of effort.

I believe this easy things hard issue is most apparent in the bindings inspector. The inspector is very advanced, and very unfriendly to the uninitiated. My simply suggestion would be to create basic and advanced modes for the inspector. For the basic take a look at EOF's 4.5's implementation (if you can get access to it), it was never this hard.

I will file a detailed enhancement request, but it is going to involve several hours of research so I have to find the time.

-Mont
