Table Not Sorting

For some reason the sorting of my table has stopped working. How do I debug this?

I keep staring at the bindings settings for the table and the array controller and the file owner and can't find anything different from the example projects which obviously sort properly. And there seems to be no visible code involved in the sorting that I can step through. How do I find what is broken?

The column header in the table still has the up and down arrow which changes when I click on the column header, but the rows do not sort.
