Has anyone out there attempted to use the NSWorkspaceCompressOperation or NSWorkspaceDecompressOperation with the performFileOperation: method? All of the documentation I have read suggests these items are *currently* unavailable. However, said documentation was written in 2004. I could really use the functionality but I don't want to build a bunch of code around something that remains disabled.

its still not hooked up.

You could implement the same thing by using either an apple script to run the finder or sending an Apple Event to the finder.

(BTW i filed the bug requesting this)
