I have been researching RIP software for about a month now and I am still a
bit in the dark if it will really help me.
A little background.
My wife and I are just starting a new small art business that sells a line
of custom greeting cards, stationary, and framed photographic work.
Everything we create is done on a series of Mac's and printed on an Epson
5500 with archival inks. We print to a variety of materials but most of all
we use a Linen 80lb Card Stock and Epson Premium Luster Photo paper. Our
printer is busy printing 2-4 hours a day (sometimes more).
I had our printer custom profiled and I routinely calibrate our monitors so
our color accuracy is already very good.
What benefit will we get from using BestColor RIP software?
Will the prints be better (mainly the photographic work)?
Will the printing be faster?
Will I get better color?
Thanks in advance,
Rob Vreeland
