Will I get better color?
If I understand correctly you're printing directly to inkjet. You don't
print to litho printing. A RIP may offer linearisation of the printer,
giving more control onto varied media.
You can do some fancy imposition with rip's. For example repeat images with
controls on the image size, rotation space between, group with others etc
(mostly on PC rip's). You can also save out the printer native data for
reprinting later.
They are always slow compared to 3 channel printing. The quality could only
be as good as, never better. If the Epson is profiled correctly for 3
channel printing i.e.; Quickdraw , you will have already maximised your
photographic output.
Some applications work a little better in Postscript though. If you're
printing directly from Photoshop you already have the ultimate color imaging
app that has built in vector tools (object and test). Photoshop 7 has
integrated test control similar to Illustrator so I read.
I've probably forgotten many features. You could download a demo from Best
and try it.
