Dear Colorsyncers
I'm looking for some advice on color management and the Harlequin rip.
Specifically, I'm trying to use an Epson 9000 setup in the rip, (printing over
a network, ethernet card, diconnected from fiery, the rip is also used for
some older film plotters). I've read in the calibration scale acording to the
instruction for the epson and out put my profile chart (printed from PS6) with
no problems. I import the profile into the rip and set it up as the device
profile. I print the PDI test file (the one with the kids on the bottom).
The color is off, but not to bad, but it's a little hard to judge from all the
black ink dripping from the shadow areas. This didn't happen with the profile
chart. Any thoughts and advice is appreciated.
Thanks
Pete Merck
