The HCT target is a real winner, go for it. The only packages that I know
that will deal with it are:
ICC Scan or ICC Capture from Profile City (Excellent products)
ProfileMaker Pro
ColorBlind? (Marc?)
Monaco Proof 3.5 if memory serves me (it's very new, just udpated).
I might be forgetting someone. Don's web site has a list I think.

Is that really the case?
I've build transmissive profiles with the DTP-41/UV/T and it worked fine as
long as you have BIG patches (output on 8x10 film and quite a few sheets).
The SpectroScan T from GretagMacbeth also does this and can read much
smaller patches. I'm pretty sure you'd be fine with output to 4x5 film. If
you only occasionally need to do film profiles and do a lot of print
profiles, the SpectroScan is cool because it's set and forget (with
reflective). Pull off the SpectroLino and you have a nice hand held
Spectrophotometer for spot readings and doing the display too!
Make sure what every package you buy, it can recognize the Spectrophotometer
as a transmissive unit and can build output profiles for this kind of
output.
