It's true, I didn't say I wanted to rotate etc, I'm sorry. Anyway
that is the reason why my customer wants to create the shadows in
Photoshop, to edit them independently, in many ways, even manually.
For the most cases there is no need for that, but there are images,
that need "advanced shadows". And they are looking for a solution,
where similar technique would suite for all images. In addition to
that, it is different people who are using InDesign and others who
are using Photoshop. Creating image shadows seems to be the job of
Photoshop folks.

My comment: This would be a good thing, if you could at least, rotate
and distort the shadow. If am not mistaken, you can only create a
simple drop shadow in InDesign, not modify it in the ways mentioned
above.
You did not say you wanted to rotate and distort the shadow 'independently'
of the image.
