Since none of the Gretag evangelists have chimed in I'll kick in my 2
cents, make sure you have GMB ProfileEditor v5 prefs set to *Photoshop-like
rendering*. Also I wouldn't edit my monitor profile I would go back and
recalibrate and profile. If you are trying to edit the gray balance you are
in for a world of pain with that tool. Masochistic?
As for D50 and 5000K I am continually enraged at all these manufacturers
who loosely use D50 for a white point calibration option. This is flat out
impossible. Can't be done, sorry. Yeah you can hit 5000K but you can NEVER
alter the spectral response of LCD or CRT to match the spectral distribution
of D50. Frankly, D50 can't be achieved with most marketed D50 light sources
either. O.k., I'll chill out now.
