Hello
Further to the recent discussions on this display profiling software. I have
been using Optix XR to calibrate a 'standard 20' Sony LCD with good results,
not perfect, some warmth in areas of a grey ramp.
So I downloaded the demo of the BasIIColor Display, used the L 'gamma' and
D65. The first profile was better then the Optix. An Average delta e of .98
and a maximum delta e of 1.92. This maximum was still in the neutrals, some
warmth still.
Then I used the Grey Balance tool to introduce extra grey targets based on
the grey ramp Lab reading in Photoshop were this warmth showed.
This was great, the average delta e is now .32, the maximum .72. The grey
ramp is nearly as good as I have seen on Artisans I have calibrated at
clients. Very neutral.
Have to buy the thing now I guess!
