agreed, but the problem was that the Photoshop version was not right
either --- in fact, neither version was right. Otherwise I would
have just ignored this as a weird Preview thing....
Aha. That's a different problem then. Check Color Settings, select the
RGB Working Space pop-up menu and see what profile is listed as
"Monitor RGB". If it's not the profile you have selected in System
Preferences:Displays something screwy is going on. That profile should
be the same as your Display profile, and if it isn't, then Photoshop
isn't using the correct profile for your display.
