Hi folks,
My preview of the CG210 is up at Publish.com. I wrote it after 24
hours with the CG210 that I got for full retail. I agree that it's an
example of superficial, hit-and-run journalism. Like "I have this
Ferrari in my driveway, just got it, dunno what that strange
stick-shift thingy is, but let's drive out for a carton of milk !"

I believe that this experience somewhat reflects what Joe Graphics
User will see of this device, which will likely be brought into a
workflow where it complements existing equipment. In particular, as no
calibrator is bundled I used my EyeOne Pro spectrophotometer hardware,
and ColorNavigator couldn't handle the other screen.I crosschecked my
ColorChecker impressions with a second pair of eyes that wears skirts,
she was much more sceptical than I was. The Samsung really hits the
reds better. The disparity in the reds arises even in my everyday use
of the device, I can even see the difference when viewing Publish.com
on both monitors. Of course, what jumped out at my friend the
lipstick-buyer is just a slight queasy feeling to me ;)
In summary, the CG210 is a superb monitor that shoud be bundled with
its calibrator and software that can match several devices. The
Samsung, when re-calibrated with ColorEyes Display gave a very good
account of itself. And from what I see, Tiger copes faultlessly with
multiple profiled monitors and screen rotation on the fly.
I'll write some more on this when ColorEyes Display comes out with
new the DDC-enabled versiion that can do the CG210.
Edmund
