Urgent assistance please - CS3 printer profiles missing

I have just received (Sat, 30th June 2007) an urgent help call from a friend at Wimbldon who is experiencing problems printing from CS3. He originally had the beta version of CS3 before installing CS3 - I am not sure if this is a factor. His home made printer profile is in the correct location - main Library>ColoSync>Profiles. It was produced with Eye One Match, a task that he has completed many times before without problems. He saved the profile to a desktop folder with an alias to the library>ColorSync>Profiles folder. Although not required, he has also copied the profile to his home library>colorSync>Profiles folder -However it does do not appear in CS3's print dialogue drop down list, all other library>ColorSync profile options are available, and yet his printer profile is clearly visible in the main library>Colorsync>profiles folder (not as an alias) and his home>library>Colorsync profiles folder.
Like myself he is using Mac OS X 10.4.10. I asked him to e-mail me his icc printer profile that he cannot see in the CS3 printer drop down menu. I have installed this profile, on my Mac, in library>ColorSync>profiles and his profile is available in the CS3 drop down list.
When I asked him to locate his recently made profile and check to see if it was saved with an icc extension it was not showing any extension, although he stated that he has used such profiles before without a .icc. extension. As he cannot access them I suggested he copy the profile and add.icc but this has not resolved the matter. On my system .icc appears in the Library>ColorSync> profile folder but not in my CS3 printer drop down list as all of my other profiles do. Even though I can access his profile could the profile still be corrupt? I have opened the profile in the ColorSync utility, and from limited knowledge, all of the header and tags seem present.
Is there anyway of resolving this issue? _______________________________________________
