Hi David,

When you use PM5 Measure tool, after completing the measurements you get to save the measurement file. I always save the spectral file, and sometimes (to save myself work later) I save a Lab version as well.

If I recall correctly, the "File/save" dialog saves the spectral file (wherever you want it saved - default program offers is probably C:/ProgramFiles/GretagMacbeth/ProfileMaker Professional 5.x.x/Measurement Files/Printer directory in WIndows - have not checked on Mac). The "measure" window has a button which offers to save a Lab version.

If you are using PM5 measure tool to make measurements for profile creation you will have saved (probably) the spectral file by default. The name of the files is whatever you specify in the "save" dialog.

Hi David,

The differences are reported in the "compare" function in PM5 Measure tool. You supply both files and it compares each patch. It gives a summary including worst case patches.

Hi Simon.

Where do you get the numbers to determine the Lab deltaE?

I also use the i1 Pro, (version A) with PM5 measure tool. I use the 1728 set of patchs.

I have not considered repeating the measurement If I did, I would not know how to learn the difference between the two, or even three readings.

Cheers

David
