Hi Marco,
I may have confused the issue here a little. I always re-measure the complete chart. I repeatedly measured the rogue patch only to try to diagnose problem.
I avoided hand editing the spectral and Lab files for the chart to substitute a remeasured patch because it seemed that it would be error prone, whereas repeating whole measurement just takes my time ....upfront.
For the targets I have used, the visual layout in PM5 matches the target, even for a simple greyscale target I created myself.
I guess any programmer writing the software would want the measured sequence to have a very simple relationship to the chart displayed, is it possible that the software simply transposes horizontal and vertical sequence?
One tool I have used had real difficulty with sequencing (cannot remember whether this was ColoThink ColorLab or PM5), but it was simply transposing what I thought it 'should' do.
Simon.
