but be sure to not confuse it with the viewing angle.
10 degree means the validity for the colour matching data (the
experiments have been done at those angles). A colorimeter can be
either aimed (and later optimized) to match 1931 2° color matching
functions or 10 deg (or any other). Only spectral devices can
calculate the CIEXYZ (from the measured spectral emission) for the
different observers ...

Quoting from Chapter 4.3 of Eizo's white paper, on page 10:
"4.3 Calibration based on a 10-degree field of view
Many spectrophotometers can obtain measurements based on both 2-

I don't see how that could be read to mean anything other than the
FOV
used
with the actual measuring instrument.
