Anyone kwows a work-around to run Cadence IC 4.4.6 remotely from, a Sun
with X11?
Cadence requires an 8bit Pseudocolor visual to run, while X11 uses a
TrueColor depth. I can use it with Xdarwin in 8bit full-screen mode,
but the result is very poor, since Cadence changes the ColorMap
according to its own color.
On a Sun it is possible to start the Xserver in TrueColor mode, still
providing an 8bit PseudoColor layer for application that requires it.
