Not that I can find in Console.app. I rebooted my MBPro and tried it
again, this time with slightly different results. It crashed when I
pressed "Return" after typing in my username and password:
$ /usr/X11/X11.app/Contents/MacOS/X11 -query 10.1.2.58
X11.app starting:
Xquartz server based on X.org Release 7.2, built on 20071109
Check-in failed: Permission denied
_XSERVTransmkdir: ERROR: euid != 0,directory /tmp/.X11-unix will not be created.
meta mod is 4
Quitting XQuartz...
