I don't see it being enabled in libX11 in the short-term. We have too
many other problems to worry about with the features we're trying to
support without adding new ones to the pot.

I just wanted to point out the reality that xcb is pretty
bleeding edge in that it enforces a new level of strictness
on libX11 and may cause unknown breakage in old binaries.
In our case, it would break nmrDraw from NMRPipe on Darwin
and the upstream author currently doesn't have a working Mac OS X
system to rebuild his xview darwin binaries.
