File Header Commenting Template

I am a neophyte user so if you suggest reading documentation, I probably need a specific pointer since I have read most of the documentation.

So, when xcode creates a file in response to a new file menu selection (in my current work, C++) header comments are automatically generated for the file.

Is there a way to create our own header comment templates and can these be referenced based on project or are they referenced based on xcode instance.
