Well, the best IDE integration I've seen was Symantec C++.
So what version control DO you use?
The broken bones in the current ones stick out all over the
place, and are far too easy to trip over, hence all of the
mentions of needing to scrap and rebuild repositories.
I don't remember mentions of this, and I certainly haven't had to do
this with either CVS or Subversion.
The mechanism to check out
code to work on it and submit new and changed code, and
check-in after code review, leaves a lot to be desired
FWIW, neither CVS nor Subversion require you to check out code. CVS
does lock local files, so you need to get them unlocked [SCM > Edit
is one way], which IMO is a feature not a bug.
