My favourite is <rdar://2965275>, for the fact that FileMerge can't
compare files with Mac line endings. Filed June 2002 (almost 1/2 a
decade ago!), marked duplicate, and still not fixed.
Well sometimes addressing a bug gets linked with a larger project (say
possibly with the larger rework of file merge in Xcode 3.0) and the
larger project gets shifted around because of countless other issues.
It is easy in those situations to have what appears to be a simple
defect pushed out in time. Of course I am only speculating based on
real world experience with large projects/code bases.
In other words based on my experience with large projects I don't find
Apple's team any worse then what I have seen take place a several
companies...
