Sure, they can throw XServes at the iTunes Store until it runs
passably. But if they ran something a little more lightweight, half of
those machines could be used to make their other sites less
embarrassing.

Actually, I am an iPhone developer. And I know the people running the
iPhone sites at Apple. I also know they can do much better.
The problem is not the technology or the engineers. The problem is the
management decisions and the fact that Apple has too many lawyers.
