Can't speak for Bryan, but I'd find a use for something like that. Ideally,
I'd love it to plug into IB itself. I may be way off the mark coming from a
Windows development background, but can an AppleScript actually get at, say,
the currently open UI in Interface Builder?

Bryan, as far as I know there only the rule that elements have to be at
least 20 by 20 pixel big, and spaced 20 pixels apart so that the elements
can be touched.
Would a tool be helpful for you where you can enter a text and a the element
class with options, and it tells you the optimal size?
