Several recent posts mention that the continuation character used to break
up long lines of script is produced by pressing option+L. I've always used
option+return (which seems more intuitive). Is there a difference, or is
this just the script editor helpfully remapping the option+return
combination (I've noticed that it doesn't work in all apps).

And just for the pleasure of watching the Apple List server mangle my text,
here is option+L [ , ] and here is option+return [ , ].
