I don't remember when the following feature arrived (Probably Eudora Pro,
but perhaps Pro 4 rather than Pro 3).
With the Esoteric Settings thing installed (now comes with Eudora...was
once a separate download), look for the "Boring Headers" settings icon (in
icon-only view in the Settings window list, it's the BLAH Blah blah icon
you're familiar with from the message window toolbar).
This has a text field...just include the headers you don't want to see, one
line at a time. I just, as a test, hid the List-Subscribe header (I'm
subscribed...it's not clear that I need to learn how). A restart of Eudora
was not needed...the change applies to messages opened after the change is
saved.
(This does nothing for the rest of the work Bill has done here, of
course...but it would avoid recreating the message, and leaves the headers
available by clicking the BLAH Blah blah button.)
