Entourage & Dialog Director

I don't think this message got through earlier. Sorry if this is a
duplicate.

I'm working with a script with Entourage and ran into a problem with the
link command. I can link anything in Entourage fine, I just have to look up
it's ID. However, the problem comes when linking an existing file.
Entourage creates a new ID for that file when I link in Entourage such as
+class cFil; id 5 of application "Microsoft Entourage". I'm not sure how to
do this in AppleScript. Alias "Macintosh:Folder:File" returns an error
saying that Entourage needs a reference. Any ideas on how to create an id
for a file or get Entourage to link to an alias reference?

This is also the first time I'm working with DD and have found that when you
create a cancel button, it doesn't end the script. I've tried including the
item action:quit into the record, but AppleScript replies that it can't quit
because the script is in progress. AppleScript records "User Canceled." in
the log when you hit a cancel button created with a normal dialog box, so
there must be away to send the same information to AS. Thanks.
