The AppleScript in my OS X 10.1.1 with the latest Developers Tools installed
is version 1.8 (Checking through the Application Script Editor > Script
Editor > About AppleScript) --> AppleScript 1.8.

I start Classic and check (through the Classic Application Script Editor >
Apple Menu > About AppleScript) --> AppleScript 1.7. Extension is the
same....
