Hello,
A little while ago I asked about the subject lines not appearing in the same
place in the header for all messages and the response from Chuq was that he
was aware of the problem and it was on the list of things to fix. Okay. I can
live with this.
The reason it's important is that I'm on the digest and it makes it hard to
see at a glance what the message is about (and therefore which ones to read).
I mention this again now because I have noticed another inconsistency and was
wondering if this too can be fixed. It appears that on the digest, not all
messages end up being posted in chronological order. In other words, I have
been reading responses to questions BEFORE the questions are asked! This
makes a thread hard to follow.
I assume the responses are coming from people NOT on the digest, but I would
think they still need to go through the server first. I am also assuming that
the answers to these questions must have been written and sent AFTER the
message with the original question and therefore reaching the server in
sequence. Why is the chronological order of messages not maintained on the
digest and can this be fixed?
