scripts?
I think you may need to look at your installed Scripting Additions,
if you read this you'll understand the erratic nature of such errors:

last paragraph 'Classic Scripting Additions'.
The error messages will give clues as to which OSAX isn't loading,

Sorry; power cycle confused things. What I mean is sometimes a script works for a few hours, then ceases to work. Only a restart will set things right.
